In Vitro Diagnostics – Diagnostic kit manufacturers turn to Lohmann for the industry standard adhesive, GL-187®.  Internationally recognized, GL-187® has been used in more than 6 billion test strips. Beyond GL-187®, we work with IVD companies to convert customer-supplied membranes (backed or unbacked), absorbent pads, conjugate pads, and custom materials into diagnostic and lateral flow assay cards. Special dry rooms allow us to slit and lay down multiple active membranes.  We can even finish your products in house.
Dry Chemistry Test Strips – We provide plastic backing with or without adhesive zones for dry chemistry test strip manufacturers including urine, water testing, adulterant tests and more.  We can also laminate pre-treated materials in a controlled dry room environment.     Back to top

Medical Device Barrier Packaging  – High barrier aluminum foil laminate pouches for protective packaging of diagnostic tests, microtiter plates and other medical devices which are sensitive to UV light, moisture and oxygen penetration.  Standard materials include re-closable zipper bags for microplates, aluminum foil laminate pouches for lateral flow test strip packaging, printed or unprinted Tyvek® and films in roll and bag format for sterilization packaging of medical devices, and special composition laminates for packaging of pharmaceutical products.   Back to top

Transdermal – We manufacture components and full systems for transdermal applications of non FDA controlled substances. We can place treated substrates with an adhesive layer and backing or several layers of thin films with a backing.
