Rotary Die Cutting – We specialize in tight tolerance, high speed rotary die cutting. Typical materials include pressure sensitive tapes, films, foams, foils, woven fabrics, non-woven, and other substrates with or without adhesive backing. We can cut a single material, or multiple materials can be laminated together and then die cut to your specifications – all on the same press. Materials can be kiss cut, through cut, cut into individual pieces, or provided in roll form. Rotary die cutting allows for larger volumes and tight tolerances. Back to top |

Flat Bed Die Cutting – We utilize multi-ton flatbed presses for shorter run quantities, thicker materials, and to cut raw materials only available in sheet form. Flatbed presses, sometimes referred to as “clicker” presses, use steel-rule dies. Almost any shape and size may be cut. Material may be kiss cut, through cut, cut into individual pieces, or provided with multiple parts cut to a carrier or liner. Back to top |

Punch Press Die Cutting – Typically used for punching holes in materials or for cutting small parts from a sheet or web of material a punch press can be configured to use a single die or a large and complex die set with multiple cavities. Dies can be simple steel rule dies, engraved dies and even Class A blanking dies. Materials can be through cut, kiss cut, scored, perforated and more. Most materials can be cut using this process including plastic, pressure sensitive adhesive tapes, rubber, film, fabric, paper stock and laminates. Back to top |

Laser Cutting – We laser cut a wide range of materials including adhesives, films, non-wovens, elastics and laminates. With laser cutting you can get the benefits of a die cut part while eliminating the need to purchase tooling. Materials can be through cut, kiss cut, scored, perforated and hole drilling. The application range is broad including micro-fluidic devices, prototype samples, low volume production and high volume manufacturing of intricate patterns or designs. Back to top |

Custom Lamination – We know that maintaining the integrity of your product design is critical when laminating sensitive materials. Many of the parts we manufacture for our customers require the lamination of two or more materials. We offer laminating services for films, foams, membranes and other substrates with pressure sensitive adhesives to make custom constructions for a wide variety of applications and markets. We are widely experienced at laminating dissimilar materials for complex applications and our capabilities include: adhesive backing, laminating dissimilar materials and zone laminations. Narrow Web Slitting – G&L precision Die Cutting is an expert in narrow web slitting including working with raw materials 6” and under and in slitting materials down to 4mm, depending on the material. We utilize a proprietary slitting process on custom built machines which allows us to slit very delicatematerials with little or no tension on the material. Flexographic Printing – Specializing in printed cover tapes for in vitro diagnostic test strip applications identification. Typical printing includes: lines and arrows; stop lines; test labels (e.g. CCG, HIV, MET), or test trade names. We will work with you to select the right tapes to meet your design and cost requirements. We can print up to five colors. Complete graphic design/artwork services available on-site. Hydrophobic Coating – To improve test results for diagnostic testing, we offer a hydrophobic coating. This is especially beneficial for dry chemistry tests which are used for multi-parameter water and urine tests. Back to top |

Subassembly Work – To save time and money, you can leave your subassembly work to G&L. We can assemble components or complete finished devices. For example, in the area of IVD we can work with you to provide cards or roll stock pre-laminated with your active membranes, nitrocellulose, wicking materials and the like, or even finished test strips to your specifications.
